We studied the visual language of the world's most respected luxury property brands across London, Dubai, and New York. We mapped the precise intersection of authority and aspiration that Obsidian needed to occupy — then we built toward it with complete intention.
The identity we created for Obsidian was rooted in one governing philosophy — that luxury at its most powerful is felt rather than announced. Deep obsidian black formed the foundation — rich, weighty, and commanding in the way that only the darkest tones can be. Gold moved through the identity with restraint and purpose, appearing precisely where the eye needed to be guided and nowhere else. The custom wordmark — architectural in its construction, timeless in its execution — was designed to sit comfortably alongside the most distinguished property brands in the world.
The Obsidian website was conceived as a destination — a digital environment that prospective buyers and vendors would find themselves returning to not merely for information but for the experience of being there. Built on Framer with meticulous attention to performance, the platform featured a full property listing CMS, individual property pages engineered to present each home at its most compelling, a discreet enquiry system, and cinematic scroll animations that made every visit feel intentional and premium.
The ambition for Obsidian was to create a digital presence so assured and so precisely calibrated to its audience that prospective clients felt — before making contact — that they had already found the right agency. In a market where first impressions carry the weight of millions, that quality of presence is not a luxury. It is a necessity.
